Since, Bruce Springsteen a Dog Whisperer Blessed Stella by petting her during a concert in California things have been positive. So in SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA on MARCH 25th Bruce Springsteen stops while singing the song “"Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” to pet Stella. I had a sign that said, “Boss My Rock Good Please Bless My Dog Stella has Cancer”. It’s clear Bruce Springsteen is very comfortable with dogs and knew exactly how to pet Stella. I was overcome with emotions as this was happening and when the Boss acknowledged me I said, “Thank you Boss”.
On April 9th I was told if I did nothing and based on the lab report Stella had (5) months to live. If she qualifies based on some testing and ultrasound which would be done for $1,314.61 there maybe space for a very advanced procedure because they were testing a new machine on the next day only and I would have to pay only $700.11 to cover Anesthesis but $2,585.45 would be waived.
So, April 10th Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a relatively new, cutting edge treatment method for treating canine cancer. This involves enhancing the delivery of traditional chemotherapy by using an electrical field. An electrical field is delivered to the cancerous mass for only a few milliseconds. This procedure was done to whip out cancer cells around the scar area. In order to protect Stella from anything that we could have missed she was put on cancer medication.
On May 22, 2024 Dr. Christine Oakley was very please with her examine of Stella and the lab work came back fine and everything is normal. Our next appointment is on July 24th and an ultrasound will be done to make sure there is no cancer.

I have never had so many emotional experiences. On April 5th Sam Rubin said "This guy has a dog named Stella who is not well. Somehow, he brings Stella to the show and Bruce lays his hands on the dog. In any way Bruce has healing powers laying hands on Stella on the stage." There was a chance Stella, and I would be invited to explain the amazing progress of Stella after April 10th procedure.
I was trying also trying to get the video from Bruce Springsteen band but was ignored but I did locate a PR contact. Sam Rubin did a (5) minute plus segment on the April 5thshow and I said if you send that with a link to this PR contact you will get tickets. Sam was an amazing writer, and he knew how to ask for a favor. He wrote the following to ask for tickets “ I would love to advance our coverage on Monday Morning, by actually attending the show on Sunday night. I know that is unlikely, but if you ask anyone who is local from Los Angeles on your team, they can assure you about what a major media outlet our program is - I have been the on-air entertainment anchor here since 1991. If there is a pair or a single spare ticket floating around, I would love to offer my personal perspective to our viewers on the show.”
Sam was at the April 7th show and he enjoyed. Day’s latter Stella is used for training from manufacture, and they will waive all fees except anesthesia, the procedure and the trainer from the company that sells machine is going to be there explaining how to use it. Since Stella cancer has not spread this is best solution Electrochemotherapy. Everything near location of scar was treated.
I was never prepared to lose my friend Sam Rubin on May 10th, 2024, and his reporting of Stella inspired me when I was very concerned about Stella health. This Electrochemotherapy was only done on April 10th in the city of LA and there is still no other machine yet because of the cost or the demand for this procedure.

Sella's Story
The Diagnosis On March 15th, 2024, at 7:01 PM, while watching a tennis match at Indian Wells between Medvedev and Rune, a text message interrupts the evening. It reads, "Call me when you can." The call returns news that is dreaded. The growth or tumor that was removed from Stella was, in fact, aggressive cancer. Despite noticing the growth in 2021, it was dismissed as nothing. The drive home is a somber one, with thoughts racing about Stella, a beloved member of the family. It’s though, Stella's life expectancy is around three months, and faced with the heartbreaking decision of how to manage the news with (2) young girls 11 and 13. We decide not to tell the children until we notice a change in Stella. The lab results show active grade 2 which is a death sentence to a dog. Humans have 4 stages of cancer, but dogs have 3, so news is not good, and the specter of cancer looms.
The Bond Stella, a French Bulldog actor, was not initially a part of the family's plans. However, after a chance encounter with Omar Von Muller, a renowned dog trainer, things changed on March 27, 2021. Omar's wife, a fan of Carvel, struck up a conversation that led to Stella entering our lives. Stella became a beloved companion, especially to the children, who adored her. Her presence brought joy and laughter, with everyone vying for her affection. The bond between Stella and the family grew stronger with each passing day.
Our Story
The Release of news. My mood had changed to sad and negative, and I was spending more time with Stella and my east coast family are planning trips to see Stella and the girls. The thought of watching the girls play with Stella, knowing what lies ahead, weighs heavily on me. I had labor issues at my Carvel store and used Stella news to lure a former employee back to work at the store who knows Stella. I texted her the following message as a cry for help “My dog has cancer and has 3 months too live.” She has a dog and says, she was sorry, and I explained my labor issue and offered her a $100 cash bonus to come back and work the next day and she agreed. The communication was leaked when my older daughter had access to my phone. When removing the stiches on March 20th and making calls to cancer doctors, I learned that life expectancy can only be determined by a cancer doctor who needs the lab report; blood work and a chest x-ray. The doctor spent 2.5 hours removing growth and 21 stiches were needed to close her up. We have what we need and waiting for our appointment with the cancer doctor on April 9th 2024.
Memories and Reflections As Stella's 3 year anniversary with us approaches on April 3rd and her 7th birthday approaches in June, we reflect on the joy she has brought into our lives. The memories they have been created together are cherished, and we are grateful for the time that we have had with her. I ponder the what-ifs and wonder if things could have been different had we acted sooner. Stella is never left alone and we all want every day to be special and she has 100% of our attention.
Goodbye We do not want Stella to suffer and will put her to sleep when the time comes. The decision is made out of love, but the pain is palpable. But now that my girls know the bad news I maybe more inclined to spend allot of money to extend her life which will be determined on April 9th 2024 at 10:30am. On April 3rd, 2024, we celebrate our third year with Stella, knowing it maybe her last. We will make the most of our time together, showering her with love and affection. When the time comes, and we have to say our goodbyes we will be grateful for the unconditional love Stella has given us. Though she may be gone, her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
